It seems like only yesterday, when you came into my life,
A one in a million instant bond, that lessened personal strife.
God must have seen what I didn't, tough times written in the sand,
He sent me a ray of sunshine, as a loving, helping hand.
Throughout the years, through thick and thin, you were always at my side,
Never missing a step, you were always there, no matter how long the ride.
To some perhaps you were just a dog, to me you were much more,
You were my little girl, my ray of hope, and I loved you to the core.
They say good things must come to an end, but our love never will,
Memories of our years together.....so special, not a bitter pill.
On this day, our last together, I look at you and smile,
knowing it's not forever.....our parting for only a little while.
I will look unto the sky, for clouds with rays of sun on your smiling face,
You left the same way you came, with your dignity and grace.
Godspeed my love, while you journey to the Rainbow in the sky,
My candle is lit, to help you find the way, I will try very hard not to cry.
When you cross The Bridge, renewing all your friendships of the past,
Remember me, your loving Mom, a future star in the cast.
Run free through the grassy fields, with your tail and head held high,
Once again let me feel your presence, and hear your little sigh.
On Monday nights be sure to look, for the glow of candlelight,
While I whisper loving words, blowing soft kisses your way into the night.

I made it safely to The Bridge last night,
Shimmering stars and candlelight, made for an easy flight.
My friends were here to greet me, they sure were a welcome sight,
Whoohoo! we had a heck of a party, lasting through the night!
The "Bridgekids Band" was playing when I arrived on the scene,
Hot damn, I danced my paws off, I feel just like a teen!
Today I received my first present, a pair of golden wings,
So I'll be able to visit, when I learn to use these things!
I ran through the fields of flowers, chasing butterflies along the way,
Barking "hi" to all the angels and new friends who stopped to play.
Everything is as you said, pretty flowers, blue skies and warm sun,
My day was spent with old friends and new, having non-stop fun.
I found the "Bridge Fridge," but my stay there was very brief,
When I opened the door, I cried aloud, "hey, where the hell is the beef?"
I'm looking forward to nightfall Mom, when we gather and hop a star,
Making the journey to all our loved ones left behind, but not afar.
You will feel my presence, you may see me, maybe not,
But speak to me softly, lest the neighbors think you're doing pot!
I love you Mom, I miss you, but I'm never very far,
So until it's time to meet again, when the night is black as tar,
Look up to the sky and you will see me, I'm the very closest star.
.....Love, Miss Jingles
